OPEN CALL FOR EXHIBITION PROJECT

Galeria SKALA announces an open call for an exhibition project for the first time, inviting artistic and curatorial individuals to collaborate with the gallery and engage in dialogue with the local community. The selected project will receive financial support and production coordination provided by the gallery team. By extending the invitation to an international community of artistic and curatorial individuals, we aim to create conducive conditions for exchanging experiences and establishing new relationships.

The open call is aimed at:
An international community of artistic individuals, collectives, and curators working in any medium.

Collaboration Schedule:
The project will run from April 20 to July 15, divided into distinct stages: one month of dialogue and preparation, one week for exhibition installation, one month for the exhibition duration, and one week for dismantling.

We Offer:

  • An honorarium of 2,000 PLN net (for the entire project) for the author(s) of the selected project.
  • Installation budget (up to 2,000 PLN net).
  • Transportation of artworks (up to 2,000 PLN net).
  • Mentorship and artistic-production support.
  • A mini publication accompanying the exhibition, with the text collaboratively written with a selected individual (honorarium of 700 PLN net for the text author).
  • Accommodation and travel costs to and from Poznań (travel costs up to 600 PLN).
  • Project promotion and photographic documentation.
  • Polish to English translation of exhibition text and other communication material.

Technical Information:
Galeria SKALA is located at the end of a narrow courtyard at Święty Marcin 49a in Poznań. The gallery’s exhibition space (a single rectangular room of 70m2) is situated on the ground floor of a four-story tenement building and features two large windows overlooking the courtyard.

Selection Process:
We reserve the right to limit communication regarding the results of the open call to the individual who submitted the selected project, and to announce them on the gallery’s website and social media platforms.
